Social.Space.Planning hubContact point for socio-spatial questions in the area of spatial development
Municipalities are facing some major challenges when it comes to social planning. In light of the growing population and the increasing consumption of resources, urban densification is one of the main goals of spatial development at national level. All municipalities in Switzerland are having to revise their structure plans and take densification measures. However, despite the various efforts, it has not yet been possible to halt urban sprawl and the associated negative effects: traffic problems, infrastructure costs, land usage, and wastage of scarce land, to name just a few, continue to increase.
The Social.Space.Planning hub is a contact point for socio-spatial questions in the area of socio-spatial development. It offers help with the thematisation, integration and implementation of socio-spatial issues within the context of spatial development projects. These may relate to the existing situation, the objectives and/or the implementation of a project.
