AGE-NT Age(ing) in society: national innovation network

Research objectives

The AGE-NT network contributes to the development of effective, sustainable and socially acceptable solutions for ensuring a high quality of life for people in the third age (60+) and fourth age (80+). The joint strategy of the network combines and coordinates R&D activities in applied research on age(ing).

The AGE-NT problem-oriented network consists of four competence clusters with different core themes:

  • AAL (Ambient and Active Assisted Living): Leading an independent life supported by technology. Lead: University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland/FHS St.Gallen, Partner: University of Geneva
  • Dementia: Living with dementia. Lead: University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland/FHS St.Gallen, Partners: SUPSI (La Scuola Universitaria Professionale della Svizzera Italiana (SUPSI), University of Zurich, University of Geneva
  • MOZART: Models for the future labour market 45+. Lead: BFH, Partner: University of Bern
  • ALiP: Ageing & Living in Place. Lead: University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, Partner: University of Zurich

Through these interregional competence clusters and cooperation with industrial partners, applied research on pressing challenges of demographic change is made possible.
